Thanks to the recent surge in Covid cases, given the concerns of our members and in the interest of the businesses we will be visiting, we need to make sure that all Red Dress attendees are fully vaccinated. We know that’s a touchy subject with some people, but we are at a point where we feel we have no other choice.

 

After you have registered for Red Dress, you must show proof by August 14 that you are fully vaccinated.

 

To do so:

1. Take a picture of your vaccine card
2. Edit the picture using your phone to redact the date of birth OR cover up the DOB with your finger or other body part.
3. Send the picture via email to [email protected]

Those who plan to come to Red Dress but wish to register and pay the day of, you will be required to show your vaccine card (or a photo of it) or Excelsior pass.

We will be starting in Syracuse from The Penny at 11:69 hash time on Saturday, August 21st. Sign in begins at 11:00AM and the run will not start until 12:00PM-ish. After the run, we will have food and an after-party included as a part of your registration fee.

Red Dress Runs are a fantastic hashing tradition. The Washington, DC, San Diego, and Las Vegas Red Dress Runs attract 500+ people every year. They are typically the same distance as a weekly hash run, but the event lasts for hours with lots of people and a fun charity benefit after! In addition to the running part, think Halloween, Mardi Gras, and New Year Eve all wrapped up in one glorious day! Last year’s Syracuse Red Dress Run was epic, and this year is shaping up to be our best yet. We HIGHLY encourage you to share this fun event with even the most casual hashers!!

Recognizing the responsibility of communities to help those who serve, Clear Path for Veterans empowers service members, veterans, and their families through supportive programs and services in a safe, respectful environment.

We are a community based non profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2011 in rural upstate New York. Our mission revolves around connecting our Veterans to their communities through wellness, peer support, community outreach and education. We do this by accepting our role and responsibility in caring for those who’ve served. Founded on principles and values of traditional warrior culture, Clear Path’s model of reintegration mirrors traditions hundreds of years old.

Early registration is $50, which includes trail, beer, hairy legs, hab, after-trail meal, and a feeling of deep satisfaction from supporting an important charity.  After August 7 the price goes to $60.  Day-of registration is $75.

Buy your Red Dress wear next time you are going by the Salvation Army, Boom Babies, or any second hand clothing store if you do not already have a few (that you maybe hiding from your girlfriend.)
