Trail #606: Yule
Sunday - December 11, 2022 - 2:09 pm
Yule… the ancient, pagan celebration of the winter solstice! Typically, this festival would begin on December 21st and last for 12 days because finally the damn sun was choosing to stick around for more than two hours a day. The party would include eats, drinks, singing, dancing, debauchery, and probably a fire too!
We’re going to cram our premature 12-days of Yule into one Sunday afternoon– ten days prior to the actual solstice. But hey, close enough. Come, celebrate with revelry, wassailing, libations, and prancing. Weather permitting, you may even see a flamin’ Yule log at this Trail 606.
Setting: This Hash will include a mix of roads, wet trails, and a touch of shiggy too.
What to Wear: Layers. It’ll be chilly and it may even rain/snow. Perhaps bring a change of clothes.
