Trail #644: 1980’s / UC 10-year Re-Hash

On July 1, 2013, Just Krystle drove from Utica to the Fleet Feet in Syracuse to attend a “group run with beers after”. Her life would never be the same….

 

Please join UC and Slip (one of the hares of that July 2013 trail) as they attempt to recreate that trail from 10 years ago.

 

The theme will be the same as in 2013 – 1980s fashion. If you need inspiration, here are some quotes on Syracuse.com from that trail:

 

“neon-clad joggers of all ages, dressed like backup dancers from a Wham! music video”

 

“burly guys in short-shorts”

 

“ a tall, dark and 20-something, sporting zebra-print leggings. A Lauper-blonde wig soaks up sweat on his forehead and stays put even after running 3 miles”

 

“ you can’t wear your ‘I completed an ‘Ironman’ T-shirt.’ Like, don’t wear that to a hash. That’s not cool.”

 

Since Fleet Feet has never invited us back, this time we will have to start in the parking lot of Home Depot on Bridge Street.

 

Expect a mix of urban and shiggy. Expect there to be UC style, 10 year analversary surprises.
