Join us for SOH4’s 12th Annual Red Dress Run! This year, we’re strutting our stuff in red for a cause that’s near and dear to our muddy, trail-loving hearts: the Central New York Land Trust. As hashers, we know the joy of getting lost in nature—whether we’re bushwhacking through the woods, splashing through streams, or accidentally trespassing (sorry, not sorry). But all that wild beauty we enjoy doesn’t protect itself.
The Central New York Land Trust works to preserve natural areas across our region—ensuring forests, wetlands, and open spaces stay wild, healthy, and accessible for generations of runners, hikers, birds, bugs, and yes, even drunken weirdos like us. They fight to conserve the places we love to play in—without paving paradise or putting up a Starbucks. Supporting them means protecting local ecosystems, wildlife habitats, and the trails we haven’t discovered yet (but definitely will… probably during a hangover).
So come out, wear your finest red abomination, and help us raise money for the people who keep our natural playgrounds wild and free. Nature gave us the trails—let’s give back.
We will be starting in Syracuse from The Penny at 11:69 hash time on Saturday, September 7th. Sign in begins at 11:00AM and the run will not start until 12:00PM-ish. After the run, we will have food and an after-party included as a part of your registration fee.
Early registration is $60, which includes trail, beer, bar stops, trail snacks, hairy legs, hab, after-trail meal, and a feeling of deep satisfaction from supporting an important charity. On September 1st the price goes to $70. Day-of rego is $80.
There will be a Full Moon Fat Boy on Sunday September 7th at Noon set by IBSexual and Festering Foot Stuff. Trail will be short and somewhere downtown to allow for ease of hotel/AirBnB bookings. This will be $7 and a seperate rego. More details at https://www.soh4.com/trails/786/.
